Vikings Territory Fragmentation
The league’s general hype last week (and we’ve ridiculed it in the Vikings Territory Breakdown Podcast), but it did collect some interesting notes:
The Vikings will start the season at home against the Green Bay Packers.
They play on the New England Patriots’ hosting Thanksgiving Night.
They play New York Giants vs Christmas Eve at home.
They traveled to Lambo Field on New Year’s Day to defend the NFC North against the Packers.
And they play the regular season final game against the Chicago Bears, naturally — but this time in Windy City instead of US Bank Stadium for a change.
The schedule seems to be favorable for the Vikings when it comes to holiday sports, but there are some tough extensions to be concerned about – especially in November when the Vikings play Buffalo Bills, Cowboys and Patriots in 12 days. Kevin O’Connell and the boys are better tied.
There is also news of some rosters to talk about, as the miscreants came to town for their engagement at the TCO Performance Center. Mark Craig of the Star Tribune is in TCO to check out new players, and he’s going to break it down, well here in the VT breakdown podcast. Tune in and see for yourself.
