The Minnesota Twins call up top prospect Royce Lewis after Carlos Correa went on the injured list with a wrist injury.

The 22-year-old shortstop gave a little spark when Korea was out, hitting .308 with two home runs and 5 RBIs in 39 at-bat.

He was a respectable .889 ops.

However, Correa is returning to her today and has recently been activated from the 10-day injured list.

In a similar move, the twins send Lewis back to St. Paul in Triple.

Twins’ insider Dan Hayes broke the news last night, announcing in a tweet the activation of the courier and the resignation of Lewis.

He also announced that Lewis will have the opportunity to play in multiple positions at Triple-A.

Lewis goes down

Lewis has certainly felt his presence with the twins and is a key part of the future, so it’s good that the twins are going to give him a chance to play in other positions for the minors.

That way, when he returns, the twins could put him and Korea on the same lineup.

A huge encouragement for the twins returning to Correa, who made a solid start in 2022, led the AL Central division.

When Lewis returns and the twins can keep both him and Korea in their lineup, the crime will increase somewhat.

It’s frustrating though he’s been sent.

He was off to a good start.

But you have to make room for Korea and hopefully Lewis will not be among the minors too long.

Because of his beginnings, it’s hard to imagine him spending much of his time in Triple-A.

We’ll see what the twins finally decide to do.
