The young Orioles fan has created a healthy and ridiculous situation

Baseball is the greatest sport: No other sport has the perfect opportunity to pass the phantom from generation to generation.

Parents usually take their kids to the ballgame, and the latter are often fascinated by what they see: huge crowds, fun games, fans chanting players’ names, and players responding by shaking back or with their performances on the field.

A young Baltimore Orioles fan from Camden Yards must have been in the spotlight in the opening match of the series against the New York Yankees on Monday.

A proud father (or, at least, it looked like that) was taking pictures of his little boy holding a ball, probably during a game.

Sometimes, the best things happen outside the field, on the stand

As soon as the father is confused, the child throws the ball on the field and everyone is shocked, even the TV broadcasters and announcers.

Yankees center fielder Aaron Hicks picked up the ball and threw it to some fans: “Obviously he was focused on the game and he didn’t see it.”

But fans saw the baby and knew it was his ball.

He was very happy about it, and he probably threw it away because everyone on the field was doing the same thing!

That’s why the fans returned the ball to the baby and his father took him to the celebration.

It was a hilarious, yet extremely healthy moment of phantom, family, charity and baseball.

Sometimes, the best things in the stadium happen on the stand, not on the field.

The little boy went home with his new baseball and a great story to tell his friends and family.
