The New York Yankees are spinning right now.

They have had their best start since 1998 and have won 27 of their first 36 games.

This puts them at the best of all baseball records and makes them look like a team ready to chase the 28th World Series title.

The bats are evolving, the staff is pitching well and things are going great in the Bronx.

Tonight, as they take to the field for Game 4 of their four-game set against the Baltimore Orioles, they have a chance to make some history, as Yankees insider Brian Hoch noted on Twitter.

Unique history

It’s funny that we mentioned 1998.

They now have a chance to do something they haven’t done since winning 114 games and winning their 24th championship.

The team is one of only two teams to have won 28 of their first 37 games in the Wild Card era, the other being the 2001 Seattle Mariners.

This Yankees team seems to be built differently.

Many people were skeptical of the arrival of the Bronx Bombers season, but they seem to have allayed these concerns.

They could be the real deal in 2022.

There is no doubt that the history of the Yankees is bright and growing.

The good times for this ball club have been happening year after year and year after year, this year is no exception, but one more example.

With a win tonight, they will have a record of 28 wins in 37 games and a series win against the Orioles.

Wherever the Yankees go, history seems to be right on their tail, and here they have the opportunity to do more.
