Monday was a special day for the New York Mets and their manager Buck Schulter.
While baseball is a sport that requires a lot of focus and discipline to be ready for the competition, there have to be some moments to be overwhelmed and the Mets and their managers have got one.
That’s exactly what happened to Shovaltar’s birthday.
Mets insider Tim Healy tweeted that he was somewhat surprised by the players at Shovalter for him.
The players blindfolded him and took him to the batting cage, where they surprised him by singing and cheering before he got a chance to give the baseball bat to Shovaltar Pinata.
How the Mets celebrated Buck Schulter’s birthday today: they gathered in the batting cage, wore party hats and turned off the lights.
Eduardo Escobar led the chauffeur there blindfolded. Joy and singing began. Shovaltar took a baseball bat to a pinata. Very healthy, beautiful.

Happy Birthday, Buck Schwalter!
The Mets gave their manager a pretty little surprise.
Even in competition, you have to take time to celebrate things like birthdays and the Mets have definitely done that.
It’s nice to see them show that appreciation for their new manager and for what he’s done with the team so far this season.
They obviously like what he’s doing and have a lot of respect for him, enough that they even threw a party for him.
You can bet that Schwalter enjoyed his little surprise.
He’s an old school manager who is very business, but last night he had the opportunity to hang out with players who love and respect him a lot and enjoy being successful like a guy around him.
The Mets have confirmed what they can do to make her feel special on her big day.
