The NFL coach loves “their boys” from past ties, and one is joining Andre Patterson, the former Minnesota Vikings defensive coordinator in New York.

Holmes, a defensive end, will audition for the Giants 53-man roster after a season with the New Orleans Saints this summer. In New Orleans, Holmes played eight games, made one start and in 2021 accounted for 35% of all defensive snaps.
Under new head coach Dennis Allen, the Saints did not have the priority to re-sign this offseason, so the Ohio State Alumni will travel to the NFC East with the Giants.
With the Vikings, Holmes has played 25 games (nine as a starter), collected 43 combined tackles, five quarterback hits, four tackles for loss and one sack.
