Yet some of the sport’s top franchises are still reporting good attendance numbers early in the 2022 season.
While the Oakland Athletics presence is reported to be the lowest ever, the Los Angeles Dodgers, the St. Louis Cardinals, the Atlanta Braves, the San Diego Padres and the New York Yankees are among the leaders.

Cardinal fans are loyal and passionate, and now, they are enjoying the last season of Albert Pujols (which has also influenced the number of appearances).
Although Freddie Freeman is no longer in town, the Braves remain a top team in the NL East, and fans have acted accordingly.
The Padres have been red-hot as of late and have actually shared the top spot in the NL West with the Dodgers with a 20-10 record; And the fans have shown their support so far.
The latest in the top five is the Yankees, the most historically relevant franchise in baseball, with some of the most ardent fans of the sport.
The Dodgers, however, comfortably hold the top spot in 2022, with a healthier difference than the second-placed Cardinals.
They are the most forward-thinking and wealthy franchises in MLB, and fans must enjoy watching their game.
