Purple Rumer Mill: A New QB Audition, Thai Villain, 49’s As Practice Mets

Vikings TerritoryOf Purple rumor mill A two-day chronicle every week. All the rumors of the week are spread in two spots – Saturday and Sunday articles – for review. Today is the 14th May edition.

Remember – rumors are Rumors. What you read in these pieces over the weekend is that the world is talking about the Vikings, not necessarily items that will be fruitful.

Rumors: Brett Handley will eventually be QB2 for the 2022 Vikings.

Take a look at the Vikings new QB
Brett Handley

It comes from Handley’s surprise appearance at the Vikings Rookie Minicamp.

Generally speaking, this is probably a longshot that comes with grabbing the QB2 job from Handley Shawn Manion or Kellen Mond. But frankly, Handley has more QB2 experience than Manion and Mond combined.

It is understandable that QB2 has an interest in ex-packer – but also silently on the lack of trust in Mond, who drafted with 3rd-round draft capital last year.

Rumors: Luigi Villain will have a significant playing time in 2022 as his talent has flown under the radar in the draft.

Originally there were all sorts of hype nuggets about these undraft people from draft scouts and trainers.

Fortunately for Villain, if his goal is to play now, the Vikings do not have a sure-fire starter after Daniel Hunter and Zadarias Smith. DJ Onem performs well in the spotlight, but whether he is a starting-caliber EDGE racer is controversial.

We’re not predicting a snatch during the villain’s game in 2022, but weird things have happened.

If he wants it, the villain has a reasonable way to grab it.

Rumors: The 49ers will practice and clash with the Vikings this summer.

In today’s rumored docket, this is most likely to be fruitful.

Kwesi Adofo-Mensah was employed by the 49ers for six years, so he will still have a relationship with the company. The Vikings need a summer dance partner, and we’ll bank on San Francisco’s nomination.
