Things went awry in last night’s series final between the San Francisco Giants and the St. Louis Cardinals.
The Cardinals turned on their bats and exploded for 15 as they beat San Francisco in the 15-6 final.
But things got interesting when St. Louis shut things down in the ninth inning, leaving Albert Pujols on the mound.
Pujoles was knocked out on his pitching debut, allowing four runs on two homers.
Giants third baseman Evan Longoria took his hacks against Pujoles in the ninth inning and picked up a hit against future Hall-of-Famer.
ESPN tweeted a video of the hit and handed Pujol the ball back to the Giants so that Longoria could get a memento of his accomplishments.

Longo and Pujol share a moment
Whenever you do something good against Pujol, be it a strikeout or a hit, he shows rare pitching.
Longoria wanted to remember the moment when he received a hit-off from the future Hall-of-Famer.
This is a ridiculous moment and will be remembered for some time.
No one expected Pujol to pitch in that game, especially not Longoria.
You never go to a game thinking of getting hit off from Pujol.
But Longoria was able to do just that and give baseball fans an unforgettable moment.
Who can blame him for trying to keep that ball?
Almost the entire Bush Stadium was laughing with the Pujols on the hill, but Longoria got her fun moment.
Maybe one day, Longoria that baseball will be signed by Pujols, or even certified at some point.
