While Reid Detmars has been named the American League Player of the Week, an established star has won recognition in the National League.
Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Bryce Harper, the ruling MVP in the National League, has won the Thanksgiving Award for a remarkable week.
“Bryce Harper is the best national league player of the week! .609 / .643 / 1.261, 8 runs, 14 hits, 6 doubles, 3 home runs, 8 RBIs, 3 stealing bases, 6 games played, “tweeted John Clarke, a reporter covering the team.

That’s not the most impressive part: he’s doing it with a partially torn UCL.
The injury is said to have little effect on his injury (if it’s not already clear, just go back and look at last week’s numbers), but he won’t be able to throw for a while.
Injury is not affecting his crime
Even so, owning one is still beyond the reach of the average person.
For the season, Harper is hitting .305 with 29 runs, nine home runs, 27 RBIs, six stealing bases and a .995 OPS for Phyllis.
He is, again, the best player on the team by a considerable margin.
However, the Phils have a record of losing as of Monday afternoon: they are 17-18, 5.5 games behind the New York Mets.
Still, things could get worse for them, and as currently built, they could challenge for a place in the post-season.
They will need a completely healthy harper, though: if something happens to him that prevents him from playing, Philadelphia will be in big trouble.
He has a very good chance of scoring a run for his third MVP award and second prize in a row: he looks great and none of his potential enemies have been hurt or playing their best.
